Hi all!

A great end to the week as we hit £25,000 funding, and with that, unlocked a print run of Wayward Stars: The Art of Orbital Blues art book.

Unlocked!

With this level of demand we can now put physical copies of this beautifully realised exploration of Orbital Blues' visual worldbuilding into production, and we will include .PDF copies of it with physical book pledges. If you want a physical copy of Wayward Stars, we've added 3 new pledges, simply to help keep track of demand and delivery;

  • A new pledge level for just the art book on its own, titled Wayward Star, at the same £25 price as the core book.
  • A new pledge level above Space Cowboy, aptly titled SPACE COWBOY 2, which is for a core book and an art book together.
  • A new pledge above Bounty Hunter, named Interstellar Kingpin, again with everything that the Bounty Hunter pledge has, plus the art book at a lower price.

Backers can use the blue 'manage my pledge' button atop this Kickstarter page to quickly and easily upgrade their pledge to grab a copy of Wayward Stars. If anyone decides to change their mind or wants to customise orders later however, Wayward Stars will still be available as an add-on in the pledge manager once this campaign concludes.

Should we reach £30,000, we'll add Momatoes to our writing team! Momatoes (@momatoes) is a Filipina game and graphic designer who has written RPGs about memory, legacy, and the dear price wizards pay for their ambition. Her biggest project, ARC, is a rules-light, tension-heavy RPG that’s coming to Kickstarter in 2021 and is one of Dicebreaker’s “must-play” upcoming RPGs. For her stretch goal, Momatoes plans on writing a confounding yet compelling mystery wrapped around a deeply human heart. Not a literal heart, though… unless…?

Placeholder Cover!

Alexin Arius was a pioneer, an eccentric inventor who built wondrous automatons and augments. Now, decades after their disappearance, a desperate sheriff hires a crew of Interstellar Outlaws for what looks to be a straightforward bounty: track Alexin in a promising new location, the long-forgotten Everjoy space station and amusement park.

But not all is what it seems, and the supposedly abandoned Everjoy is steeped in endless mystery. Rust and decay run rampant - but why does the jingle still play over the stale air? No customer had set foot in its towering rides or souvenir shops for years - but why do the animatronic mascots still greet you with a smile? And the wide-eyed children who watch you from edges and corners - who are they, and what secrets lurk in the utopia they’ve built?

Visit Everjoy now, where the good times must never end.

Momatoes' EVERJOY adventure will be available in .PDF at £30,000, and will be distributed, fully illustrated, along with Sinta Posadas' A STARBORN RESISTANCE, once the core book has shipped, ensuring that everyone will have a nice shiny core book to run their adventures with! We can't wait to see what Momatoes has in store for us, and what else the future may bring for Orbital Blues!

This last part of the update isn't as exciting, but it is important. We've had a few people now from various parts of the world asking for more detailed shipping information so they can make an informed decision about pledging. When you take Brexit, the global pandemic and shipping delays, and add them to the fact SoulMuppet Publishing only has experience in smaller scale print-runs from calmer times, it's been hard to make estimated guesses on the prices of shipping for a project that's shaping up to be this successful. However, we've gone away, done our homework, made some enquiries and ran some numbers, and now we've got some figures to maintain on the campaign page.

They may be a little more or a little less than some people expected, but we have taken into account that these are best rate estimates now, and everything is subject to change. We'll update this image where it appears on the main campaign body actively whenever anything changes.

That's all for today, folks but thanks again to everyone who has supported and spread the word of this project; we're incredibly grateful to be where we're at right now, and we hope everyone enjoys the book as much as we've enjoyed making it. Until next time,

See You, Space Cowboys!
